InvestED: Ep. 248- Robert Shiller & The PE Ratio

It would be a wise thing to do if you want to be successful, to look seriously at what successful people say they do. And then do that.” – Phil Town

In this week’s episode of InvestED, Phil and Danielle talk about how important it is to continue following Rule #1 strategy as an investor in the current market and not act on speculation. It’s important to remain cautious investing in an unclear market.

Need a helpful investing tool? In the episode, they highlight the PE Ratio by Robert Shiller.

Shiller calculates the cyclically and inflated-adjusted earnings of the S&P 500 over the past ten years and divides that number into the total market price of the S&P 500-a cyclically adjusted price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio.
