Wow, what an incredible past few years!
My daughter, Danielle Town, and I first started InvestED as a father-daughter duo looking to shine a light on the successful investing strategies that gurus like Warren Buffett have used for 80 years.
InvestED covers two vastly different perspectives of two individual investors both in pursuit of the same mission – financial freedom.
I am a seasoned long-time investor and Danielle, a millennial, beginner investor, serves as my counterbalance asking the questions a beginning investor would ask.
Financial freedom looks different to everyone – securing wealth for themselves, setting up their future and retirement, or providing for their families – but the measures to get there are the same: through Rule #1 Style Investing.
InvestED continues to serve as a learning, educational, and entertaining experience for people of all ages, income, and levels of investing knowledge.
We cover a wide variety of investing topics ranging from beginner to advanced, so there’s a learning opportunity for everybody.
Some of the most popular topics we’ve discussed include:
- Investing Basics: How to Invest with Rule #1
- Personal Finance
- A Word from the Experts: Featured Guests
- How to Value a Business
Danielle and I also have a few favorite episodes of our own. Here are some of our must-listen-to episodes.
Back to basics. In this episode, we discuss how to invest with your values and ways to make investing fun.
We explain how the things YOU love, are passionate about, and are the best at are actually the things that can make you rich.
Did you know that what makes a stock market dangerous is the fear and emotion that it creates when it drops?
In the long run, the stock market will rise again and your investments, especially if you own wonderful businesses, will come out ahead down the road somewhere.
Danielle and I discuss how to stay rational and how to invest safely in a dangerous stock market.
In this episode, we talk about the fact that 30% of the stock market is not invested in individual stocks, but in indexes. Many investors fear the effects of so many people owning indexes rather than the underlying companies.
We also discuss the inverted yield curve, what it is, and what it could mean for investors everywhere.
In addition to Danielle and I’s take on what’s going on in the investing and finance world, we’ve had some of the world’s top business and investing gurus join us on the podcast.
Just to name a few, we’ve featured….
Sheri Salata, Oprah Winfrey’s Executive Producer and Co-President of the Oprah Winfrey Network
Bobbi Rebell, Certified Financial Planner
Steve Walsh, Cryptocurrency Expert
The InvestED podcast is ultimately a great way to stay up to date with investing news and knowledge anywhere, anytime. You can learn while commuting, working, or relaxing.
